All White to Withstand the Houston Heat
Coming home to Houston means running into old classmates you either have to awkwardly ignore or pretend you're excited to see. I also become a complete bum and just want to do nothing all day. It's very relaxing, but also my life can not be any more unexciting here. If you find yourself bored in Houston like me, here are a few of my favorite places that are worth getting out of bed for:
1. BEEHIVE Boutique : Originally from Austin, this boutique offers an eclectic and affordable collection of trendy clothing and accessories. I always can find a bunch of cute clothes that are modeled after designer pieces for a fraction of the price here. It's currently the only place I have consistently shopped at whenever I'm in Houston. The only down side is that it is located in the Rice Village, which is where you can run into half of your high school...
2. HIP Fitness : I recently bought their new client deal that lets me take 2 weeks of classes for $69. It's definitely hard getting out of bed for this one... but the work out is very effective since I'm sore every time. I would say it's more of a love hate relationship here.
3. Honeymoon Cafe & Bar : If you want to venture outside the usual Houston West U / River Oaks bubble, this place has one of the yummiest brunches along with insta worthy decor. I think it's time we all move on from the basic Tiny Boxwood brunch dates.
4. Myung Dong Restaurant : I'm not Korean, but I think this whole in the wall place has the best Korean food in town. I go there every time I'm craving Korean food because it always hits the spot. Plus, I always manage to have so much food leftover to take home from all the side dishes. The people that work there barely speak English so you know it's authentic haha.
